A day among butterflies in Xiamen, China thrilled my heart and it is a joy to share that with you. This rare opporturnity came during a trip to visually record China's emergence onto the wor'd stage during the 2008 Olympics. Capturing photos of butterflies felt so fun and rewarding after the challenges of asking for and taking portraits of Chinese people.
My Daddy loves to give pleasure. This special day proved that to me. After spotting betterfly icons ona map of the city, I asked the hotel clerk if it was a good place to go, but it was beyond her English ability. Getting on the bus to this place presented logistical challenges where few spoke English.
The driver and a seatmate helped me get off the bus at the Taiwan Folk Village. After paying the entrance fee, the moment of truth came...a butterfly smorgasbord. Like a child, I played for two hours "catching" these beautiful creatures.
The Lord blessed me with $1,350 in donations for train, bus, hotel and food to travel in China during August. However my financial need is getting really scary and I’m asking the Lord what to do. I want to pursue adoption and continue at YWAM Kona but don’t yet have the means to do so. Perhaps the breakthrough is coming now, or perhaps I need to take a sabbatical to raise money by going back to work. In addition to your prayer, three things can help: new monthly contributions, references to potential supporters, or purchases of my devotional-style booklet or prints. I would appreciate your feedback and anything Lord shows you regarding this difficulty.
Blessings to you, that your health and/or finances dramatically improves, your unsaved loved ones come to the Lord, or your job becomes exciting again. Jesus, He really is ENOUGH. Isn’t it amazing.

MAY 21 - PEOPLE NEED ACCEPTANCE-NOT INTOLERANCE Maybe we need to examine why we as Christians have been called intolerant people.
